Christmas Decorating: São Paulo

Christmas decorating by a personal organizer in São Paulo: from the tree going up to the labeled box in January

Silvana opens the boxes you already have, buys only what is missing, sets up the tree and the decorations and gets the Christmas Eve table ready. When the holidays are over, she comes back to take everything down, pack it and store it labeled, so next Christmas starts without anyone searching the house for ornaments.

Home Christmas decorating is the service of planning, buying, setting up and, after the holidays, taking down and storing the Christmas decorations of a house or apartment. The electrical side deserves attention: according to Abracopel, the Brazilian association for electrical safety awareness, Brazil ended 2022 with 874 fires caused by electrical overload. That is why Silvana Organizer tests the lights before they go on the tree and never plugs two light strings into the same adapter.

Does your Christmas usually look like this?

Do any of these sound familiar?

Unlabeled ornament boxes at the back of the closet, and half a day gone just finding the tree.

A tangled light string nobody knows still works until it goes into the outlet.

A packed December calendar, with decorating pushed to the last week, or to next year.

Family arriving for Christmas Eve dinner and the holiday dinnerware still wrapped on the top shelf.

In January, everything thrown back into boxes however it fits, and the problem saved for next Christmas.

What changes when an organizer handles your Christmas decor

Decorating is the part everyone sees. A personal organizer makes the difference before and after it: in the inventory of what you already own, which keeps you from buying it again, and in the January storage, which lets next Christmas start with the right boxes in hand.

How Christmas decorating at your home works

There are four stages across the season: a visit to define the style, sorting and shopping, setup with the Christmas table and, in January, the take-down with labeled storage. Christian tradition usually puts the tree up at the start of Advent, in late November, and takes it down on Epiphany, January 6, and Silvana’s calendar follows those dates.

01

Visit and style

Silvana sees the rooms, opens the boxes you already have and decides with you on the colors, the tree size and the spots in the house that will be decorated.

02

Sorting and shopping

Silvana sets aside broken ornaments, burnt-out lights and pieces that do not fit the style. You approve the list of what is missing, and she does the shopping.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to book Christmas decorating?

Ideally, book your date in October. Setup happens between late November and mid-December, and those few weeks have to cover every home with the care the work needs. If you wait until December, you risk finding no date left. Booking early also gives Silvana time to source any ornaments you want to add.

Do you buy the ornaments or use the ones I already have?

Both work. Silvana starts with what you already have in storage, sets aside what is still in good shape and what should go, and only then lists what is missing. If you want a new look, she presents the colors and pieces and does the shopping with your approval before anything is bought.

Does the service include taking down and storing the decorations in January?

Yes, and it is the part that makes the biggest difference the following year. After the holidays, Silvana takes the decorations down, cleans each piece, packs by category and stores everything in boxes labeled with their contents. She tests the lights and coils them tangle-free before closing the box, and notes where everything was stored.

Do you also set the Christmas Eve table?

Yes. Silvana organizes the dinnerware, glasses, cutlery and table linens, sets the table for the number of guests and gets the serving areas ready to receive the family. The food is up to you or your caterer. You come home to a table and a house ready for the evening.

Is it safe to put up Christmas lights in an apartment?

Silvana keeps the lights away from curtains and fabrics, with no cords running under rugs and no multiple light strings on the same plug adapter. If your home needs a new outlet or any electrical adjustment, a qualified electrician takes care of it before setup begins, so the decorating day runs without surprises.

Do I need to be home during setup?

Only at the start, to approve the style and show where the stored decorations are. After that, Silvana handles the setup with your access authorization and full discretion, and you come home to a lit tree and finished rooms. The same goes for the take-down in January, which you schedule for the date that suits you.

Which areas of São Paulo do you serve?

Silvana serves the city of São Paulo and surrounding areas, focusing on neighborhoods in the south and west zones such as Moema, Vila Nova Conceição, Itaim Bibi, Jardins, Pinheiros and Perdizes. Setup dates for the season are limited, so message on WhatsApp to confirm availability in your area. Service is available in English.
